Alright guys, time for some feedback. There has been alot of discussion on the board about other bands, but what about Andreia! We have heard from alot of you in person, but some of you, we haven't heard a thing! We want to know what you guys think of Hollow, how you like the actual song (I know the drums are a little off, we are going to fix that), and stuff like that!
So, let us know... click here for the download! _________________ spent the look in your eyes

I like the song a lot, but I like that one with the double-bass beat even more! That's why I can't wait for the 24th. FD and Andreia are gonna tear the place down! _________________ blah blah blah... odin..... blah blah.... mjolner.... blah blah .... thor |

gray would double-bass beat it all night if he could
as for the song, here are my thoughts:
The notes were indeed chosen well, but the guitar could definately stand to lose a bit of the reverb... its at a point where the notes become washed out, and, to avoid excessive shrieking, i have to turn my speakers down. (which i HATE!)
Also, in the many long guitar riffs in the last three and a half minutes of the song, there is quite a bit chord repetition before every new variation in the guitarist's notes. My suggestion would be to take those variations and string them together without playing the same few chords over and over before hand. Then you could take that bit and tie it into your chorus earlier on in the song. This would keep a continuity in the entire song as opposed to the two drastically different sounding halves as it is now (the beginning having some lyics and some soft guitar plucking as opposed to the loud power-d chords of the second half). In my opinion shortening and trying to keep a general continuity throughout the song keeps the listener more interested in the music. I believe fat disease did this very well with tear yellow and lines of the letter, the only 2 of their songs that have yet to grace my ear (until the 24th!)
I, however, am a noob to the andreia scene, so i am unsure if you planned wholeheartedly to keep this song at eight and a half minutes, or if this was at all the type of feedback you were hoping for. Aside from what i have mentioned, i enjoy what i hear.
keep crankin out the tunes - i hope i have not overstepped my boundries _________________ This is where I typed my signature. |

It could probably be 15 minutes. We'll add a ton of 2nd guitar parts, I just didn't want to give the illusion that it has a lot going on quite yet.... It will, but as a 3 piece it could never live up to anything live. Every band has one of those long songs, that happens to be ours. The other stuff is pretty different actually. _________________ i left the horizon

Ryan - it's the song you guys opened with on the 24th. You start off with just the drum beat, then you stop. Then the drums and guitar come back in together. You know which one I mean? _________________ blah blah blah... odin..... blah blah.... mjolner.... blah blah .... thor |
